I have never been able to find this model anywhere on the internet, so I created it from scratch. This basically is how I would approach multiples in betting to ensure that your stake is banked if only one of the selections wins. It primarily is tailored to Horse Racing due to generous odds on offer but will work for any Sports. Of course the main draw back to these specific equations is you would not win as much money as you would lumping the entire stake on a multi if it comes up but they are of course few and far between and many established sports bettors will tell you how multis are the enemy in sports betting, as all you are doing is giving the bookie more and more of an advantage the more lines you add to a multi. (I may explore this in more depth in a separate blog).
Of course Singles will always be the sports bettors bread and butter but I feel this staking plan allows for the odd adrenaline rushing multi whilst being as covered as you can going into any bet.
All Stakes are advised as percentages to tailor it to each individuals bank roll. 100% obviously equals 100% of what your willing to stake on said bet(s) not 100% of your entire bank roll. It is worth noting, All Plans work from £1 Stakes upwards besides 4,5 & 6 Full Perm Selections which work from £10 Stakes upwards due to restriction limits.
1 Selection: Minimum 2.0 (Evens) or Above 100% Single.
2 Selections:
Minimum 2.5 (6/4) and above to cover 20% Double and 40% Singles.
3 Selections:
Minimum 3.4 (12/5) and above to cover 10% Treble and 30% Singles.
3 Selections Full Perm:
Minimum 5.0 (4/1) and above to cover 10% Treble, 10% Doubles and 20% Singles.
4 Selections:
Minimum 5.0 (4/1) and above to cover 20% Singles and 20% Four Fold.
4 Selections Full Perm:
Minimum 6.0 (5/1) and above to cover 16.7% (66.8%) Singles, 2.8% (16.8%) Doubles, 3.6% (14.4%) Trebles & 2% 4 Fold.
5 Selections:
Minimum 5.6 (9/2) and above to cover 18% Singles and 10% Five Fold.
5 Selections Full Perm:
Minimum 6.5 (11/2) and above to cover 15.4% (77%) Singles, 1.2% (12%) Doubles, 0.6% (6%) Trebles, 0.8% (4%) Four Folds & 1% Five Fold.
6 Selections:
Minimum 6.7 (6/1) and above to cover 15% Singles and 10% Six Fold.
6 Selections Full Perm:
Minimum 8.0 (7/1) and above to cover 12.5% (75%) Singles, 0.8% (12%) Doubles, 0.4% (8%) Trebles, 0.2% (3%) Four Folds, 0.3% (1.8%) Five Folds & 0.2% Six Fold.
*All Fractional Odds have been rounded up to their nearest fraction where an exact one doesn’t apply
